These picture ledges are made from solid wood. The ends of the ledges are opened. Hardware and easy-to-hang instructions are included! These ledge shelves are also perfect for other uses, as well. They are great for spices and flavored oils in a kitchen. Awesome narrow shelves for displaying degrees, specialties, and books in an office. The front of the ledge has a small rail that will prevent your picture frame (or other collectibles) from slipping. Couple your picture frames with other small significant keepsakes/collectibles. These picture shelves will be a great attraction in any room, working as multiple purposes. Each ledge is handcrafted from the best choice of White Premium Pine (100% solid wood) and artfully stained from a selection of our many stains and/or paints. We do apply a Clear-Coat sealant to the picture ledges once they are complete, in order to protect the wood. Picture ledge measurements: OUTSIDE: 4.5″ to 5 inches from the front of the picture ledge to the back (outside measurement). INSIDE: Area for pictures and other items: 3.5 inches. OTHER: There is a small “lip” to contain your items on the ledge. Use it to prop picture frames or secure other items.
