The delicate detail trim running along the length of the mantel is detailed oval circles with darts placed in between. We have added our own detailed trim along the top edge and bottom edge of the mantel which highlights the intricate trim on the mantel. Not only is this fireplace mantel gorgeous, but it is practical, as well. We have designed it to be hollow. This makes it lightweight so it’s easy to manage. The custom bracket is constructed straight from the mantel itself…so they go hand-in-hand, so to speak. Our bracket design is based on the French Cleat. The trimmed design is perfect for solid or layered paint finishes. After we have applied our paint(s) to the mantel, we add a couple of layers of hard furniture wax protection. The body/box of the mantel is usually 4-6 inches shorter (total) than the top shelf part measure/length.
