SIDES/LEGS: Approximately 17-inches deep. **There is a 2-inch front profile that runs along the bottom of the shelves, this HIDES the underneath and gives the shelves a more polished finish. The underneath of the shelves ARE also stained and finished; however, the pocket-holes for the screws are visible. The underneath of the shelves may be visible if hanging high.
